Diphtherinum is a homeopathic nosode prepared from the diphtheria toxin or membrane. It is used both as a preventive during epidemics and as a curative remedy for conditions with diphtheritic symptoms, especially when there is profound weakness and rapid prostration.

Thick, gray, tenacious membrane in throat/nose, foul-smelling breath and discharges, swollen cervical glands, burning pain in throat extending to ears, difficulty swallowing liquids, cardiac weakness, post-diphtheritic paralysis (especially of palate and eyes)

Recommended Dosage
For acute conditions: 30C or 200C, single dose or repeated infrequently based on severity. For prophylaxis: 200C, single dose at the start of an epidemic.
